    Initiating GPS location manually

In short, my question is that can anyone tell me the way to point the GPS application to get where I am and that can accelerate the GPS initiation. Along with that, I also need some advice for a fine GPS application that can work well in Desert. At present I am making use of X-motion which is quite good except it consumes the battery very fast. I need quick reply on this. Please provide your suggestion.

I am getting extremely fascinated in GPS troubles across the whole range of iOS device. I have obtained a 3GS as well as the GPS satellite repair stopped working totally. A solution identified by making use of jailbreak with an ssh terminal tells me a fine ratio of these troubles are through location, gps process within the iPhone, or more exactly, I believe that it is probable for a few of the data this process utilize to turn out to be corrupted. The solution includes stopping the process along with deleting the data that it uses. After that when You restart it then locations is required to reconstruct the data, and the whole thing then works.

I think this is correct across the entire iPhone range. I believe that the backup utility in iTunes in fact backs up the bad data. And that is the reason that is the reason that the problem back in again. You can try to restore the iphone to see if that is solving the problem for you and if that does not work for you then it is possible that the GPS cache data cannot be deleted when the phone was restored.

What you require is the option in the iTunes otherwise iPhone settings that is able to clear the GPS ephemeris and all the associated data down and it can restart the location. But I don’t think there is any such thing available so the best way will be to contact the apple support and ask them for the problem that you are facing. I am sure that you will get perfect answer from them and also any app that can help ypu to do this.

Thank you for all the replies. It tried all the things that are possible for this issue but cannot make it out. So finally, I have accepted the fact that it is not possible to do that. I hope that Apple will provide some tools in its future release to do that. For the time I have to bare this. Then also if you got anything useful then please share that.
