Want to restore the jailbroken iPhone4 without updating 4.0.2

I am using an iPhone 4 and I have jailbroken it due to some reasons I have did so. Now the thing is that I want to restore the settings of my phone since my phone stucked at start up. Actually it is giving me only an apple logo and the phone hangs. I don’t know what to do here and also unable to start the phone again. Also let me know why I am facing this problem and also please let me know how to solve this issue.

Well if you will ask me then I will suggest you that the jail breaking has spoiled your phone. Actually jailbreaking for any application may harm your phone and also it will difficult for you to recover the phone. Now as you said that you want to recover the phone without updating the operating system then it is not possible. I have gone through your problem and it seems to me that you have to reinstall the operating system and that is why the mobile phone is not starting up. Now what you have to do here is that just run the phone ion DFU mode and that you can do by connecting the phone one system though iTunes. If you will connect the phone then just hold the power button for just 10 sec and then leave but holding the home button. Now a message will be appear to you that the dfu mode has started and then you can upgrade the operating system over there I am sure that it will help you solve the issue.

I think the only way you can solve the issue by just contacting the apple support and then letting them know the problem. So what you have to do here is that just visit the nearest apple support and then tell them the problem faced by you. I am sure that they will help you in this case and also will repair your phone. But the thing is that as the phone is jail breaked then they will charge you for the repair. I am sure that this will help you to get rid of the problem and also will take care that the problem will naot occur in again.
