Want to take Jailbreak iPhone to Apple store for repair

I am having few questions related to my iPhone. Is it possible to take jailbroken iPhone to apple store for the purpose of repair? The problem is that bottom part of the SIM card tray is broken from inside and because of that SIM card tray is not closing. Actually the phone is on a week old and this happened by accident. Now I want to know that will apple store will fix this thing for me. I have heard that once the iPhone is jailbroken its warranty voids. Please let me know your suggestions what should be done for solving the problem. I will be waiting for related reply.

Well sorry to say this but apple will not repair your iPhone, the simple reason for this is that you have jailbroken your iPhone. It is true that if you have unlocked or jailbroken your iPhone then the warranty of your iPhone becomes void. In that case apple is not reliable for any kind of damage to your iPhone. The only advise I can give you is to restore your iPhone to factory settings. There are chances that you get a clean chit from apple store. But I am not sure for this thing. You can just give a try for this but chances for this thing to happen are very rare.

Re: Want to take Jailbreak iPhone to Apple store for repair

Since the exit of the first iPhone we talked about how to unlock it to enable features not normally active, and especially not to install applications from Apple's App Store. With the release of ' iPhone 3G , the situation has not changed, and network methods and programs are readily available to perform the release operation, the so-called jailbreak . Of course, as is known, this practice is not allowed by Apple and involves the cancellation of the guarantee, in addition to the risk, fortunately rare, making the device unusable. It should also be added that now, with all the applications available for free in the App Store, jailbreak has lost much of its appeal. You can restore an unlocked iPhone, bringing it back to its original conditions within walking distance (with the same useful procedure in case of irreversible block).

I am completely agreed with the above reply. Connect your iPhone to your computer system and select it from the device list in iTunes. In case of failure to detect the device, you need to pass in DFU mode (Device Firmware Upgrade), follow these steps: Without disconnecting from the computer, turn off the iPhone. Press the "Power" and "Home" on the iPhone at once, for about 10 seconds. Release the power button, holding down the "Home" key until the computer beeps, the recognition of USB device. A few seconds later iTunes should detect the iPhone. On the "Summary" in iTunes, click the "Restore" button. iTunes will ask whether or not a backup before you restore the iPhone. Select "Backup". After the backup, will be restored. After restoring, the iPhone will reboot and start the activation of the device (as just bought). Now the iPhone is back to initial conditions. You can still restore the previously backed up.
