Coffee spilled over my Inspiron 1525 keyboard

Hello friends I have got Dell Inspiron 1525 notebook that I had purchased few weeks ago, it was working fine until all of a sudden by mistakely coffee glass fell on my laptop and all the coffee got spilled over the keyboard. So I instantly took the keyboard cover and then wiped whatever coffee was remaining over the surface of the keyboard. After that I kept the laptop in dry air for sometime to let the coffee completely soaked up. After some time I started the laptop again, but i was not able to start the laptop, so can any one help me to know what is the problem that is in the laptop and what can be done to solve this issue.

Hey friend I think that your laptop internal circuit have got completely spoiled which is why you are unable to start the laptop again. I think that you were late in clearing out the coffee from the laptop keyboard and that is why the internal hardware of the laptop might have got effected and which is why you are not able to start the laptop again. I think that the only way out is to show the laptop to the engineer who might be able to give you suggestion about the exact state of the laptop and whether the problem can be solved or not.

I think that there is no solution for this kind of problem, if any liquid spills over the hardware components of the system then that will certainly make the hardware loose their effectiveness and will not properly even after you try to solve their problem. I think that you might have to buy a new laptop or if your laptop is still in the guarantee period then you can certainly tell the dealer to change the laptop for you. I hope that the laptop is in the warranty period and you will be able to get completely new laptop in replace.

I think that the chances are less for the recovery of your laptop, but still it would be better to give a try and see if the laptop problem gets solved. I think that you should wait for some days and keep the laptop in an open space where air can easily move in through the laptop parts. After some days try to replug the laptop and start once again and then see if the laptop gets started. If you are lucky enough then laptop will surely start, so keep your fingers crossed and lets hope for the best.

Hey friend I have had the same problem few weeks back and what I did to get the laptop started again was that I used a hair dryer that we normally used to dry the hair on the laptop internal surface where the coffee had spilled and after using it for more than hour when I plug the laptop again I saw that the laptop stated smoothly . I think that you should try this option and see if it solves your problem.
