HP Compaq nx 6125 Touchpad Speed Problem

My laptop is an HP Compaq nx 6125. My problem of concern is the sensitivity of my laptop's touchpad, or rather the pointer speed. Whenever I change the mouse sensitivity to make my mouse move faster, and I reboot, it always comes back as the default speed of my touchpad, I do not understand why. And it's quite tiring having to change back every time when I turn on my PC. Hope you can help me.

I have the same problem as you and I think it comes from my driver (SetPoint 4.60) Logitech mouse that external load the settings of Windows XP. In its parameters, it proposes to adjust the pointer speed in its own way with more options and the forces the pointer speed in the Control Panel of Windows XP to its default value, i.e. the cursor in the middle. If you also have an external mouse and this software and you want to focus on adjusting the speed of your TouchPad at the expense of your mouse, go to Control Panel then select Printers and Other Hardware -> Mouse> SetPoint Settings> Settings mouse for the game (icon of a tower chessboard)-> In the category Speed and acceleration, select Implementation SE (instead of Implementing SetPoint). You can settle once and for all the pointer speed to your TouchPad.

    Simply Disable Autorun Utility KHALMNPR:
To do this, click Start, then Run or directly into the Search box in Vista, type msconfig. In the Startup tab, uncheck the box before the program khalmnpr.exe (if you do not find it in the first column refer to the Command column). Then click OK and Exit without restart.

Set the speed and acceleration of your touchpad using the Mouse Properties in Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse -> Pointer Options tab. This only affects the touchpad mouse is normal.

Most probably you will have to Adjust the speed and mouse acceleration in SetPoint utility. Make sure the Settings tab of the mouse to play (chess icon Tower), in speed and acceleration, Implementation of SetPoint is enabled. Then in the Motion tab of the mouse (pointer icon on the go) regulate the speed and acceleration of the mouse at your convenience. This affects only the mouse. Your touchpad sensitivity remains one and the same.

It appers as the SetPoint has overloaded the system parameters. If you have amended it again the speed of the touchpad in the Mouse Properties, it will again change the mouse too, it will always be offset by adjustments to SetPoint. still in the Mouse Properties, if you have enabled Enhance pointer precision i meant the acceleration of the pointer, it is often not necessary to enable acceleration in SetPoint again. Well, I hope that you will enjoy as much as me.
