    Nokia E72 GPS Positioning Method

Hello! Friends I have just two day before bought Nokia E72 so I didn’t have idea of its many functions. My first issue is that after going to the positioning methods settings in my cell i.e.E72, it gives only two options they are Bluetooth GPS and Network Based. But according to my view there should be some more option such as A-GPS and Integrated GPS. Is everything is fine in my cell? Or I should replace it. If it is fine then provide me the method how I can activate them?

Yes about A-GPS, E72 have the feature of assisted GPS. Let me make aware about it that A- GPS is a network service. Assisted GPS is use to help you in backing data over a packet data connection, which help in finding your current location at the time your cell is receiving the signals from satellites. After you turn on A-GPS, your cell gets the useful satellite information from supported data server over your mobile network. By the way of assisted data, your cell can gain the GPS position more rapidly. Generally every E72 is preconfigured to use the Nokia A-GPS feature, in case it is not available as in your cell, ask with the customer care for A-GPS settings are available on your model. You can achieve this setting free of cost with service provider.

To perform the positioning GPS service, follow the below mentioned step.
Select the Menu option and then goto the control panel option in menu and after that choose the option of general settings and select positioning option. There you will get the following option available for GPS that are
    1. Integrated GPS this uses the integrated GPS receiver of your cell.
    2. Assisted GPS this service uses Assisted GPS in order to receive helping data from an supported data server.
    3. Bluetooth GPS this uses a friendly external GPS receiver with the help of Bluetooth connectivity of your device.
    4. Network based this service uses the information available in the mobile network.
In order to describe an access point and positioning server to assists the network-assisted arrangement process, such as assisted GPS or network-based positioning, to do that pick the Positioning server. The positioning server could be fixed by your customer care, and after that you might not be able to change the settings.

Yes, there is service A-GPS available in your cell phone. If you are not able to get that service working there may be the reason that you are in a big town with a number of large buildings, so that you have to wait little bit long time fix this, due to this reason New York cab drivers don't use GPS services. It's useless for them because it didn’t work for these satellites have to always see the cell. So for that they have to come in open space.
