    USB Charging on Nokia E52

Guys, I feel proud while using the Nokia E52 because of its great features. I liked this phone and battery the most. When I am at office then I connect that to the computer in my office with data cable. I have already installed the PC suit for that and when I connect that then it shows me all the notifications for message call etc. It also starts charging my phone. I just want to know that charging from the USB can harm the phone battery in any manner or it is fine. I want you guys to share your ideas about this. Thank you very much to all for your replies in advance.

No, it will not cause any bad effect on the battery of your phone. But don’t overcharge it. As you told that you stay that connected to the computer while you work so there are possibilities that it will get over charge and cause harm to the battery. So charging from USB does not affect but overcharging may cause certain problems. Therefore you should try to avoid that.

I am not agreeing with the above post that it will overcharge that. So you can leave it connected for any time and this will not harm your battery. If your battery is fully charged then it will stop charging that automatically and if it drops down to certain level then it will start charging that again. So there is no chance of overcharging. I put my mobile on charging for the entire night on every alternate day and I am using the same phone from last 2 years but still the battery is running fine. So don’t worry and keep that connected to your computer without any fear in mind.

I don’t think that charging from the USB is going to harm your mobile battery in any manner. Like normal mobile charger it is also the source of charging the battery and it also maintains the voltage supply by the resistors in your phone. Anyway if Nokia is providing that feature to that phone then they must have tested that before. So you need not to be worry about that.

Thank you very much for your replies. Now I feel safe while charging the phone with the USB cable. I was just asking this because some of my friends told me that it will completely damage my mobile battery within two months. Anyway, Thank you all once again. Now I will be more confident while connecting the phone to my computer.
