    W510 SIM slot broken?

I bought the W510 today and be one of the first things I have Vodafone SIM. After briefly puzzled how to do it have I pushed the Vodafone SIM, there was such a little "click" as one example of inserting and removing him from SD cards and knows the SIM could be removed. When I then inserted another SIM is not locked. But always remains in the "extraction" position. Of course it is properly installed. Access Connections I then just the battery cleansed, Access Connections said however, that no SIM is present. Does anyone know the problem? Or did I along with a single Use any mechanism broke? Can I stick to ThinkPad quality, really imagine somehow not quite.

Coming to the SIM slot ever reach it easily? I have degrees before in a video seen that the UMTS card is installed from above through the keyboard. Have searched to Lenovo for a card and find only a GOBI WWAN card Does anyone know what means "GOBI"? Is this the equivalent of UMTS? If yes then please post this over here as soon as it is possible for you guys.

As you say, there really is not another 'trick' here: Press to eject and press for the insertion. To make sure that there is no software problem, in addition: for the Vodafone Sims To be recognized, or was it the dummy? So as much I know about this I have post it over here o I hope you will get some idea from this.

So, a dummy was not in it for me, as was right, the Vodafone card in it. Currently I do a backup, I remain hidden and replaced the HD with a SSD. But what I have already tried is whether the Vodafone card "snaps" - it does not exist. Let's see if I get with the Vodafone card receipt. And if this will going to work in my case so I will inform you guys.

The W510 SIM slot problem I cannot confirm it. We have bought 5 pieces of this model and all the same problem. Once you have a SIM insertion and out, he caught the 'coolie-fixing'. Problem: The fixing of the card is not quite back, so that a renewed do not catch is possible. l am W510 This is a very clear mechanical defect in the W510 Work Around: Loosen the screw for the keyboard under the RAM cover on the back or just let off completely. The SIM slot is no longer as strong under tension. This can remove the lock spring back as required when the SIM. We clarify grad with our suppliers and with IBM as we proceed as we have another 20 units are already at the supplier. I'll keep you posted.

Are the guarantees problems if the screw moves in short, the new lodges SIM UDN picking up again well, because, as could WIFI yes but a little worse and save NEN screwdriver I think almost everyone can use, right? So after this it will be a great relief. And everyone will get the benefit of this.
