    HDMI Connection to ST2410 Monitor

I in recent time buy the XPS 8100 along with a ST2410 monitor and linked it with the HDMI cable. I became aware of that the screen does not use up the entire screen. There is about a 1/2 inch of unused space around the monitor. How am I able to fix this? There are no issues when I used the VGI cable that comes with the screen. So if anybody have solution for this then please help me.

I have read this and regarding this issue I have two solutions in that first thing which you have to do is:
    1. Open the ATI Catalyst Control Center, under DTV (HDMI) 3 Scaling Options or at the underneath left hand corner there is a smaller monitor where you open the configure alternative
    2. Select 0% Over scan and click Apply

So try this I hope you will get the solution as it works in my case.

Re: HDMI Connection to ST2410 Monitor

I presently buy the same pattern of XPS 8100 and ST2410 monitor. It came along with a VGA cable which worked very well and I just bought an HDMI cable to connect. I have the similar problem in that the screen does not fill the monitor. In the ST2410 Users Guide, the Product -Specific trouble section, the 1st item description states. SPECIFIC SYMPTOMS - Screen image is excessively small. WHAT YOU understand - Image is centered on screen, but does not fill up entire viewing area. Likely explanations - carry out monitor reset on "Factory Reset”. This remedy does not work and I still have in relation to 1/2 inch of unused space around the edge. I have been during every display setting I am able to find in Windows 7 and not able to cure the problem. I have not purchased a Dell LCD previous to it but a Samsung LCD I have permits you to adjust the fill on the display to the edge of the bezel if you require to.

Regarding your issue I have searched a lot but not able to get the perfect solution for your query. The XPS 8100 came along with an ATI Radeon 1GB (5450 model of adapter). I am linked from the HDMI port on that card to the HDMI port on the ST2410. So if you want then you can try this I hope you will also get fix for this.

Re: HDMI Connection to ST2410 Monitor

Your commands works great, but all the time I begin the computer back up I have to read the entire process once more. Is a there everlasting fix where I do not have to do this all time I start up the computer. I have the XPS 8100 with ATI 5770 video card and ST2410 monitor. A enduring fix would be great, or am I able to call an important person to resolve this problem. Please tell me know, your professional recommendation would to a great extent be appreciated!

Re: HDMI Connection to ST2410 Monitor

You have to go to ATI site and download the "Catalyst Software Suite" version 10.10 - the file should be around 75.9 MB. Currently I have HD5770, so anybody along with a dissimilar model just looks for the ATI site for the majority up to date suite. From what I acquainted through version 10.8 & 10.9 does not identify the modify so you have to replicate the scaling process. Hope this helps everybody!!
