Do I need to repurchase old game which I have purchased year ago for ipod?

Some time back I was using the ipod classic for which I purchased Crystal Defenders: Tactical Decisions game which was great to play but I have just lost my ipod. Now am going for the ipod touch soon so, when I checked for the games which I was using with my old ipod like Crystal Defenders: Tactical Decisions. The game I had purchased is now is an application and the original click wheel version is already removed but the thing is that I already have the click wheel version. So I want to know if I have to repurchase for my ipod touch as its now in two different version or I can have the application with previous title. So if anyone having solution for thing like this please provide me the suggestion.

I think you have no choice but go for the repurchase for the application for your ipod touch. As you have mentioned that thing you have purchased earlier for your classic ipod as a game is now is an application which comes in two version. I had similar issue with other game for ipod which i had purchased long time back but when i tried to get the game for my next ipod i come to know that the game is now is an application. So thing i did was just visited to the Apple website and downloaded the application for my ipod. So think to resolve your issue with the game and application you need to purchase the application.
