Nokia X6 cannot detect tv-out

I am using the Nokia x6. I purchased this mobile because it has TV-out option. This is the great feature everyone wants. I took the TV –out cable, connected one end to the phone and the other end to TV. I got the option to choose TV- out but there was nothing on TV screen. I checked it with other cable but the issue remains same. What is the issue here exactly?

I think this is the first time you are using the tv-out feature. The phone does not automatically adjust the settings of tv-out. Manually check the settings. You have to make some changes according to the type of tv you are using. Use the original cable which is denoted in the phone manual. If the serial number of the cables is different then it will not be going to work.

I think the reason for not getting the tv stream via x6 means that the phone only support PAL not the NTSC. And your TV supports only NTSC. You have option to switch between PAL and NTSC then you may get the view. Most of the TV comes with PAL and NTSC options. You can switch it any time according to your needs. The other issue may be there could be hardware fault in your phone or TV connectors.

Check that the cable is rightly connected to the TV connectors (RED to RED). By mistake you might have swapped it or connected it somewhere else. There also is chance that some of the video formats does supports the TV-out option. Low quality videos may not work on it. Ask the TV retailers what model of TV supports the TV-out from the Nokia X6.

Have you tried your phone on other TV? If not check it quickly. You didn’t mention what type of TV you are using; Normal, LCD or LED? The High Definition feature the phone will not display its content on normal TV. The HD capable TV may work fine. If the problem continues ask Nokia service provider for help. In case you get the other kind cables go for it.
