    E5 Welcome Tone too Loud

I have recently got myself Nokia E5 phone which comes features from 5 MP camera to 32 GB expandable external memory but i am not very familiar with its functioning. But one thing i am very uncomfortable with is that the when i turn the phone ON it plays welcome tone which is too much loud. It is quite awkward when i am at public place and try to switch ON phone because of which i am felling little embarrassed. So i want to know how can i low down the volume so that it will be comfortable to switched it open even when i am at work or any other place. So if anyone having idea about it please do provide with the solution which will be best to resolve it.

You can go for the simple solution for your problem with your nokia e5 phone for which you have to move to menu go to the option settings from there select profiles. There you need to select your current profile which you are using select sub option personalise and roll downward to warning tones which is the start up tone for your phone which you need to turn to off after which there will be no start up tone other than this you can decrease the volume for it.

I was also facing similar thing with the welcome tone which is very load and very annoying. But for certain while I have got the solution for it which is like when the hands start reaching across the screen immediately before the music starts hit the space key after which there is no welcome tone sound. As I was not able to get the solution so stilling trying this temporary solution to work for me. Try to apply the same thing in your case which might resolve your issue as well.

I think hitting any key while the phone start will surely avoid such load welcom tone. I think you should go for this solution till you are not able to get the permanent solution for your solution. Other than this you can try to go for the another profile rather than using the similar profile on your phone in which specify the start up tone as low as possible. This will surely resolve your loud welcome tone volume.

I empathise - drove me completely nuts as well, and I cursed myself for being loyal to the brand and not buying a BlackBerry. Moreover, the pathetically inadequate User's Guide is no help at all!

    Here goes:

Press the Home key, which will take you to the Main menu

    Choose Ctr Panel (it's red)

    Choose Settings

    Choose General

    Choose Personalisation

Scroll down to Tones (should be the 3rd one there)

Scroll down to Warning Tones (should be the 12th one there)

    Change 'On' to 'Off'

    Back, Back, Back etc.....

    Turn off

    wait a couple of secs...

    Turn on

Hopefully, that wretched tune will have been silenced!
