    X25-V 80GB Models availability

Hi I am recently using X25-M solid state drive. I heard that inlet has launched its new v series of these solid state drive. After this I have searched on my favorite online shopping site and found that they also have this X25-V with 80 and 160 GB models. Also these are mentioned on the Intel website. What are the reason of launching these model do they use 25nm chips or 34nm chip. What are difference between an X25-m 80GB and X25-V 80GB? Thanks in advance.

I think yes they have launched this new X25-v series of the solid sate drives in the market. In which 40GB is the only cheapest model of them all. Intel is planning to launch the double capacity model i.e. 80GB and 160GB ssd’s. As you told that you have got the information on the shopping site they have 80 GB or 160 GB this means that they are mixing the V models with M models. With this you can use NAND flash chips for achieving the better performance. At the similar time the X25-M and E series will be improved where we have take notice of chitchats of a 600GB edition of X25-M.

    Re: X25-V 80GB Models

Perhaps everybody just understood the V-80 would be a G3 by means of 25nm. Gazing at the product code the K5 is an indication to a firmware edition that does not subsist in the present line-up. Gazing at the read or write specs there are the similar as an M drive, so if it is the fresh V drive presentation is notably quicker than the present V drives. I could only discover one seller with an X25-V 80GB however I imagine they presently mixed up the V for an M. The cost is extra that an 80GB M drive so it does not observe correct. So I think you should again contact your seller and ask him for the X25-v models of the SSD.

    Re: X25-V 80GB Models

I think that the seller has misinterpreted. They catalog "Intel X-25-V Postville 160GB". More than a few problems there that make the listing appear inedible.
    1. Intel does not consist of inner codenames in creation listings. So evidently the seller added that series.
    2. According to disclosed SSD roadmap credentials hanging around on the internet, the forthcoming drives through the 25nm Nand are called "Postville-Refresh". So I would be expecting to observe that codename in the listing if it was the after that age group drives.
    3. The catalog demonstrates the drive through the similar specs and also the similar cost as other "mainstream" 80GB and 160GB SSDs. There's not anything "value" regarding it.
