Change Icon of a Windows Phone 7 Project on Main Menu

I am here somewhat confused about my New Windows 7 phone; I just want to know that can I change the application for windows7 phone is this really possible. Phone is basic need for all but I have a problem that I can’t do anything. The thing is that I want to change the icon on which is on the main screen. I update my phone driver but every time I want face that same problem again and again. When I change any of icons form default to a .png file in application nothing happen to it rather than it change name but I can’t change the picture. Please I want some help is there is any user can solve this problem, Do this for me as early as possible.

This is not a big problem that you are facing it has simple way to resolve. This windows phone only take 173 x 173 size of image it means the size is require to particular phone. One solution Is that just make images to 173 x 173 pixels it will be correct. I would like to say that just restore your system which automatically check the issue. If it still doesn’t work you can do this by manually, just go to that image property and only set pixels size to which phone can take is to display and just write down the application path for it. Try this sure it will help you to come out from this mess.

To prevent from this problem just change build action of the .png file to the appropriate content. A icon you have changed it will display is the drop down list in the property window of this page try this will absolutely help you. Just remember that when you are changing the name you must set its important property which pixels property to 173 x 173 format Bcoz this windows 7 phone only allow this king images. You have set open property which has .XML extension and edit the background tag to new .PNG file, this will completely remove your problem.

Changing the icon for project menu is take small amount of time. You open Visual Studio 2010 for the window phone in that choose NEW project and then select WINDOWS phone application. After this your phone will display two small screens that one contains TITLE and other contains CONTENT respectively. In that you can select any of the icons which you have to change but make sure that must set the pixels property which allow it to display the icon.
