Since you already have a laptop, I don't Macbook Air would be a good buy for you. You may even go for an iPad. Do you have a desktop computer also ? If yes then there is no need to go for a new computer which serves you exactly what you can do on your other computers. But if, as you said, your laptop is giving you a lot of problem and it may die very soon then I think you can think of purchasing a new laptop and probably a Macbook Air if you really like it. However, I still would like to suggest you to have an iPad if you want to have an alternative to your laptop and also if you do have a desktop. This is what I thought about your problem.

I think getting the Macbook Air is very good decision. I have my Blackberry phone with me and it does everything what I want on it. So I am not worried about not getting anything when I have short time period. I also thought of getting an iPad first but after some research I came to know that it does the same thing which I already have on my Blackberry Torch phone. Atleast it provides me whatever I want. So I dropped the idea of getting it. Then some one suggested me to get Macbook Air when on move. Although it costs more but it provides a better desktop computing. But since your requirement is photo editing, gaming etc I don't think Macbook Air can provide that to you. However, if you want you can check out some where else or even refer the Apple site to get more details. You can even wait for sometime so that may be others can provide you some help or information about Macbook Air.

The new MacBook Air is designed with flash storage for better responsiveness and reliability. It has a trackpad which supports full Multi-Touch. Although it is incredibly thin and light, its large battery life gives you enough power that lasts for 5 hours or even more. MacBook Air is a light, thin, and strong model which allows you to take with you everything wherever you go. It can even perform quickly, spring to life instantly, and have enough battery life to keep up with you. It does not have any spinning hard drive, optical drive, or any other unnecessary components.

In spite of its excellent features Macbook Air is still not considered as one of the best model of Apple notebook until now. The reason behind this problem is that it has a relatively slow processor. So I don't recommend you to go with Macbook Air. You will not be able to perform photoshop work efficiently on this computer. You will even notice some lags during your gameplay. If photo editing and gaming is your main concerned then I would suggest you to go with Macbook Pro. It has proved himself well and there is no another thought to this point that it will disappoint you.

Re: Is new Macbook Air for me?

Thank you everyone for your response. So you all want me to go for Macbook Pro instead of Macbook Air. Just for your information, I don't have any desktop computer. Until now Acer laptop was the only computer that I have been using from a long time. This is the reason why I thought of getting a Macbook Air. Moreover, I need the screen to be as big as possible and so I thought of getting the 13" model. Do you think Macbook Pro will also be having a bigger screen model and would be satisfying my needs? And about the specs, I have thought of 4 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD, 7+ hours of work (and so larger battery life, if possible) and as much possible as big screen supporting the resolution of 1440 x 900.
