iphone 4 screen not turning off during calls

I have been using the apple iphone 4 from last 4 months.. I was happy with the phone as it consist of so many exciting features and different applications in it... But from past last few days i am having some problem with the proximity sensor of my iphone.. Whenever i try to make calls and then talk on my phone the light of my iphone does not goes off.. I mean the light of my screen stays on.. Even when i keep my cell phone close to my face it does not work... So any one please help me by posting some solutions...

According to me apple must have checked this sensors before implementing them.. It should not have any problem but as you are having the problem with it their must be some issue with it as it is an electronic device after all.. First try to update the software in your mobile phone.. Sometimes due to software problem this kind of issues related to the sensor functionality occurs.. So i suggest you to have your cellphone updated with the latest Operating System...

I also had the same problem with my iPhone 3GS mobile phone.. The problem was with the mobile case which we use for covering our mobile phones.. After i used a newer case for my cell phone it worked fine.. After that it did not have any proximity sensor related problem.. But then i switched on to the new iphone 4 but i encountered the same problem with it.. Then i realized that i was using the iphone 3 GS phone case... So after i bought a new case specially designed for the iphone 4 it worked properly and till now i did not face any problem related to the proximity sensor of my iphone 4... Hope this information helps you to find a proper solution for your query...
