Installing a Micro Innovations Webcam

I have my system and it is in a good health. I do not have any issue with that. I recently had updated the Operating system; I have switched from the Windows Vista and to the latest Windows 7. I was really convinced with the things that were going for me. The new operating system is really cool and a lot better than the previous one. I am just saying this because I have found that inspite of these great features I am not able to install the webcam on the system. I am sure that there is no Internet Issue that I will have to tackle for so that it can work. Well I have all the CD that I think I should for the installation of the Webcam. The Webcam that I am trying for is the Micro Innovations Webcam. I really need your help so that I can overcome with this situation.

Well the problem that you are talking about is not new. I have already seen some of the posts that were related to these kinds of issues and I have helped them in solving the issues. I definitely think that the issues are with the drivers. I have seen that though the drivers that are provided at the time of the purchase of the product sometime can cause this kind of issues. Well I would suggest you to go on the net and type the model no. of the product (webcam) and get the updated derivers for the same. Also you were absolutely correct in saying that there is no connection between the internet and the installation of the Webcam. They are both different things and there is no point that they will ever get conflicted.

I am also having somewhat the similar issue with the installation of the Webcam. Well in my case the difference is that I do not have the Windows 7 on my system, instead I have the Windows XP and that too SP 3. I am sure that the issue is not with the compatibility between the operating system and the Webcam. Whenever I make an attempt to install the drivers for the Webcam it fails and gives me the message saying that I do not have the proper software and hence cannot continue with the installation. What is the big deal with this? I have made sure that all the drivers are in the position so that we may not face any issues that are related to the Drivers. Please suggest the solutions and in addition to all this I will look for the updated drivers as well.

Both of you are having the same problem. But it is really weird to see that even Windows XP is also facing the same issue that Windows 7 is facing. By looking at this I am pretty confident that the things are really bad on the driver’s side. Well in case of the Windows 7 I yet think that the issue can be regarding the compatibility and that can be solved only when the dedicated user goes to the official website of the Manufacturer and see for the updates manually. I would suggest the Windows XP users the same thing and I think that the drivers will for sure solve the issues.

I am not confident about the thing or the suggestion that I am going to suggest but do try this and see if that comes to your rescue.

• First of all please disconnect all the things that are unnecessarily connected to your system. That is connecting only the things that are required by the PC to start.
• After these is done just restart the system again. When the PC will be restarted then install the Webcam. When it will ask you to install the drivers just place the CD that you received at the time of the purchase.
• Allow it find the drivers itself and I am sure that this will be done in a superb manner.
• Let it take the driver by itself and I am sure that the things will really go smoothly.
• If this runs successfully then if you wish you can visit the official site of the Manufacturer and then can install the drivers from there if at all available.

Some times the installation require this type of arrangements. I am sure that you will get the things in the manner you want.

I am also having the same problem with the installation of the webcam. I just did exactly the same thing that was told in the manual of the product (webcam). I did that but yet could not find the things working. I have tried rebooting the systems lots of time, but could not see the things in my way. I would be really happy if you can help me out of this thing. I will try for the solutions that you all have posted and will for sure post what happens when I did that. I have also tried lots of solution from other forums but they were not able to give me the things. Hope that you will not disappoint me.

I am sure that the content that has been posted above is really for sure are of great help. Well we have not yet received any replies from your side. It will be nice from your side if you can just provide the exact model of the Webcam that you are having from the Micro Innovations. If you can give the name then we can help you in downloading the exact drivers for the same. Hope that we will be able to see your post with the name of the model.
