I have Lephone A2 with me. I would like to connect this mobile phone with my computer running Windows Vista. Actually I am on move most of the time and during that time I take my laptop to check mails or internet surfing for my business. So I know there is no other option left to me except having internet via my mobile. So I want to know how can I use my mobile as modem to surf internet? What do I need to do?

Yes you can use your mobile phone for your internet connection. All you have to do is configure your phone for internet connection. The settings that you require on your mobile is known as GPRS settings which is provided by your SIM service provider. This is the service which converts your mobile into a modem to get internet connection. Once you get the GPRS settings from your service provider, you can configure your mobile and with the help of mobile phone's PC suite you can convert your mobile as a modem. Make sure the settings are inserted properly and you are in the coverage area to avoid any disturbances or failure.

I don't know if the wap settings are supported by Chinese mobiles but if it is possible then get them from your mobile operator and fill-up the desired fields. The main fields where you have to insert the value includes Security Connection(Enable/Disable), User Name, Password, APN, Gateway, and Port. There may be some other settings also but these are generally ideal for all the operators and you may consider this as some mandatory fields.

My first suggestion would be to contact your network provider in order to get the settings that you are requiring. You may also consult with your manufacturer who can suggest you in a better way what information do you require and who can provide it to you. Next make the necessary settings for internet on your phone. Once this is done, check how to connect your mobile (which is acting as modem) with your computer and get the internet connection by going through the user manual.
