As you have mentioned that you tried to update the iOS in the iphone but first tell me with which application you have try it and what was the source of the connection. Weather it was the data/USB cable or the Bluetooth connection to the laptop or computer, after all the information i will be able to provide the solution to your issue.

I have tried to update the iOS 4 from the apple website via iTunes application. The mode of the connection was the bluetooth and according to me these seems to be the reason for the failure of the update. i also tried to update from other third party apps bu the result was the same, please provide me with the solution so that i can update the iOS 4 to 4.1 in a better and effective way without any trouble.

The mistake that you have made here is with the connection mode, always you have to use the USB connection for the update of the iOS 4.1 from your iphone. To update in a proper way you have to first download the latest version of the iTunes from the apple website and then try to update the OS from the apple website via the iTunes application and the iphone will start properly in an appropriate manner.

If there is a problem in the update and the iPhone get stuck on the apple logo screen then there is a problem with the software settings, you have to restore it by doing a hard reset in the iPhone 4. These procedure can be done by holding the apple button or the main button button/sllep/wake for some time until the apple logo appears on the screen which will resolve your problem and all the data on the iphone will be erased but that will not be a issue with you, if then too the problem exists then you have to contact the customer care assistance of the apple for further support and help.
