OS4 upgrade = error 29 then reboot every few min. on use

    Hello friends....
I have made a attemted to update my iphone to os4 and obtain an error 29 warning and was then stuck in an endless reconnect to itunes loop. When i try to restore it , it resulted in further error 29 messages. After searching for sometime i found out a solution for escaping from the loop. Now os4 is on my iphone (and looks great!) but it reboots every few minutes (2-3) . It does not reboot if off. After that i tried searching for more solutions for overcoming this problem. So please give me some solutions for permanent fix of this problem...

This problem usually occurs with the OS upgradation in iphone 4. Firstly You would have to open up the device and uncover the battery. I know that some of batteries which are available in the market have their merchant's logo as a sticker on the outside of the battery. But if you carefully peel it back, you should see the number. If you don't know how to access the battery in your phone, I am sure there are video how to do so on YouTube..

I have made an Apple iPhone 3GS made update 3.1.3 to 4.0. I am getting an error 29, which I found a hardware error and have to the battery. Then i have made attemp to downgrading it to 3.1.3, then also i am getting the same error. Then i tried 3.1.2, and I getting a warning "Firmware not compatible". After that I have found that, this were the reason the IPSW file was having an error. I downloaded a working copy from some site that you can search on google

This will help you solve the problem......

I replaced my battery with bigger one a couple of days ago. I too got the error 29 loop, and have been fighting it for a couple days. So after reading these posts I went and had an official OEM battery installed. The result.... error 29 loop still continues. I was on the mobile phone along Apple support yesterday and they having no idea related to this problem. I am out of warranty (due to the battery upgrade of course), so I couldn't get a replacement. I think one should go for the updation of the software...

Yesterday i called apple service center because I figured I might as well try to find out how they suggest to fix this problem.. The guy to whom i talked was immensely nice and he booked a brand new phone for replacement. They said they have had many people calling them and they are trying to resolve all issues. So i am really very happy that they decided to replace my handset. You guys can also contact to the concerned apple person and try to fix the problem..

With my iPhone with a newly installed non-OEM battery, I upgraded my OS from 3.1.3 to 4.0. I got an error 29, which I discovered is a hardware error, and not the internal problem and must be due to the battery. Then i tried to downgrade it to 3.1.3, but i got the same error. Then i tried 3.1.2, and still I got a message "Firmware not compatible" .. After that I discovered that, this was because the IPSW file was corrupted. This will definately help you out to solve the problem.
