Dell XPS M1730 Dead - Motherboard issue?

I guess i have became the lucky looser by getting the defective Dell XPS M1730 which i have bought just before two months. Actually it was working without any problem but suddenly it got off. I don't know what happened but then starting it does not respond into booting screen. And battery of this laptop have got drained already so even i am not able to try it. When i connected the power plug to the motherboard, brick's light went off. What could be the problem here?

Most probably it seems like your laptop has some hardware problem with it. This kind of problem appears when there is some kind of short circuit on your laptop's motherboard. It might happen that the power fluctuating have made some IC burning and hence no power it getting forwarded in order to start the laptop. I suggest you to give a check to your laptop from the service center.

As you have purchased this laptop just before two months then i suggest you not to open your laptop as it would be voiding your laptop's warranty. Instead of doing that, I suggest you to call to the dealer from where you have bought this laptop and ask him to claim the warranty for your laptop in order to solve the whatever problem would be.

Have you connected any kind of video card to your laptop which might be causing such issue with your laptop. I suggest you to remove all the external hardware which you have connected to your laptop in order to increase its performance as they might have putted bit more load on your motherboard. Detach those devices and then check that your laptop start normally or not.
