There may be a problem in the SD card that you have purchased for your phone. It might be corrupted and because of that your Sony ericsson x10 mini pro is not able to recognize it. The problem can be overcome by first checking it with another phone so that it is working or not that will provide a boarder picture to resolve these issue.

If your card is working properly in other phone brands then the card is fine, there seems A problem in the back of the Card slot where the SD card is placed. To fix the problem open the back of the phone by removing the battery and then clean the SD card slot with the cotton paper or tissue paper and then place the SD Card and restart the phone these time it may work at it's best.

If the SD card is not detaching in the phone then there are chances that the phone has a problem with it so I would suggest you run the Sony Ericsson update service on your phone which is a available with the PC Suite CD/DVD. The update of the x10 mini pro may help to overcome these issue and the card will work properly with the phone.

If there is a continuous problem in the SD or the Memory card then the best solution is that replace the card with a newer card. As you have mentioned that you have purchased a new card then you can go for the replacement of the card to the dealer from where you have purchased it. These are the best solution available to this kind of the trouble in the SD cards.

The sony ericsson x10 mini pro is a new phone that you have purchased and the SD card is not working properly in the phone but the same card is working in other brand phones so for sure there is a problem in the phone. To resolve these you have the option of the replacement of the phone and take a new one as it is a new mobile phone, the other option is that go to the service center and show the problem to the Sony ericsson support desk and they will solve your problem for sure.

If it is just in case with html document, than there might be some problem or conflict between the html file and your mobile browser. But what are ther type of other files that are unable to read ? Its really strange problem hence give some more details to assist you better.

Re: doesn't recognize SD card in sony ericsson x10 mini pro

I have a problem apparently similar. I change ths sd card for a 16g class 4 on sony mini-pro. I copy on the pc the other card, and i try to copy back those files on the 16 g those.

The copy process would not stop....but i could take file by file and transfert them?

After restarting the phone 1- I could not write on sd disk 2- I could not read what was on the disk even if apps are transfered to sd card, etc...A mess of behavior that I had not before when I pass from 2g to 8g card class 2 and 4. What parameter or process have I missed?

    Pierrz,

I read your post twice and couldnt understand what exactly are you asking? Does the sd card gives any sort of error when reading from it? How did you try to transfer the files on the sd card, by a memory card reader or from the sony ericsson mobile phone itself. I assume if you can get yourself a memory card reader then you wont be facing the copy/paste issue anymore.

Re: doesn't recognize SD card in sony ericsson x10 mini pro

Ok I will explain factually. I had on the Sony mini-pro Experia a 2 gig SD micro card, on wich I began exploring and adding apps..

I copy it on the PC and install a 8 gig on the phone and copy these apps files from C:... to the new sd card on the phone via usb line.

When I tried to do the same thing with a copy of the 8 gigs to PC ...it was ok but from the PC to a 16 gigs class 4 sd microcard on the phone... mystery begins: the copy process indicated a problem of delay (cannot tell the exact phrasing) even an overnight copy process takes place without finishing really to copy all the files. I cannot remove the usb contact from the pc as the PC indicates the line in use.

But the files of the pc looked copied on the sd card (on explorer window of the sd drive shows so).

I eventually complete the copy process by copying one by one the remaining files from the PC to sd card and I disrupted the usb line.

The phone worked (android 2.3) but I could not write (pictures) on the card : a message indicates so. And I can't see the files of the card from file manager...

But all the apps shows on phone screen,

But I do not see them on sd card and as I move new apps to sd card I cannot seen them either on the sd card.

It is like I cannot read on the sd card even if most apps and first pictures are on it

So I hope you have the whole story, to appreciate.

Thanks for the attention you give to this description
