    720p vs 1080p on a 15.6" laptop?

After one week I will buy a dell studio 15 laptop and then I was wondering if it's worth getting the 1080p screen. Actually I am receiving it for the university but here I want to use it for gaming too and is there any noticeable difference between these two on a laptop that size for games like star craft 2? And also I am not putting a blu ray player on it. So please if anyone know regarding this then please tell me.

Here I talk with my friend regarding this issue and he told me that you will not benefit from 1080p on that small a screen size and do not let anyone tell you any different. According to me 720p is standard and hi-definition and even small TV and do not bother to put 1080p on it only for that reason. And there is no noticeable dissimilarity saves for overpriced - if same price go for it!

Yes previous reply is correct actually 720p is high definition. And 1080p is full high definition and better quality resolution. In this full HD refers to a show that outputs at 1080p and ‘normal’ HD outputs at 720p. And I am not saying like anything I have read this from one of the forum site. So I think it will help you. And you also check this from yourself.

No, not really I think you will not be paying concentration to the resolution when you go for playing games and another point is that 720p is a pretty decent resolution. And also you are not going to be watching any of the blu ray movies on it. If you want laptops regarding gaming then in that resolution is little bit of important.
