Cydia problem in China - apt.saurik.com Host Unreachable

I stay in China and I am using iphone and for jailbreaking it I just surf to cydia site. When I go there I face problem in installing or updating application from Cydia website. For my require application Cydia link to apt.saurik.com to which I was not able to connect. A message appears as Host Unreachable but the thing is that I am able to access apt.saurik.com through http but not via cydia ,cydia working fine till I try to install application from apt.saurik.com .what can be the problem suggest the best possible way in which it can be fixed.

Try to remove files like gpg's and release files do not try to go for removing the Partial folder and lock file from the /var/lib/apt/lists/ folder. Then go for rebooting and then update. You can also try to delete all the .list files from /private/ect/apt/sources.list.d but do not delete the saurik.list file. After this you can reboot and update this will solve your problem.

This problem may be with apt.saurik.com website which is down for that particular moment. You can try after sometime so that if problem is resolved with the site then you will get the access to apt.saurik.com so you can access and install the application from that. So if possible avoid to go from cydia instead go directly to the site by typing hyperlink.

I am also suffering from the similar problem I am trying to update applications from Cydia, I updated by iphone to 3.1.3 and now trying for having cydia installed and update but this is not working I am getting error messages as 'Cached Failed' also "Host not reachable"etc. so can anyone solve it for me.

This problem of yours with cydia not able to connect you to apt.saurik.com for installing the application can be because of the data connection which is why you are not able to connect and error is appearing as “Host Unreachable”. Try to check if the connection of your wi-fi is enough to open the page and try again after configuring. This can be fixed if you contact to the service provider if it is because of data connection.

If you are not able to open apt.saurik.com using your current version of cydia than you can try to move to the latest and advance version which you can find on the official website of cydia from where you can easily download it in your iphone and then try to open apt.saurik.com again after refreshing your phone. This can solve the issue if it is with cydia version otherwise you can go to official website to get more information on it.

There can be issue of apt.saurik.com website is under some kind of repair or something because of which you are not able to get the access to the page and getting the error message as “Host Unreachable”. It may happen that your version of cydia is not able to open the site so first look if it is because of this problem. So to fix it you can go for upgrading your cydia.

You can go for Iphonebrowser if your problem is not solved with other solution. But before going for iphonebrowser just reboot the phone first then load the application on your iphone with this you will able to access the root of your ipod also. But for all the functionality you have to have ifile in your iphone.
