Acer aspire 5680 windows 7 issues

I was a regular user of windows xp but my friend told me that Windows 7 is very good and you should install it. I now installed the Windows 7 operating system but not able to get the drivers for some of the application that i use very frequently such as the touch pad, realtek audio and the orbicam. Please help me to get a driver that will enable all this application so that i can run it on my Acer Laptop.

Acer does not provide drivers for the Windows 7 professional which are compact able with the acer aspire 5680, but you can download a driver update from the Microsoft website which will help you to run few of the application that you have mentioned above. These can be done by going on the Microsoft website and then select the "Windows Update" option, that will automatically update your driver.

As you have mentioned that you have installed the Windows 7 OS in the Acer Aspire so there are very dew options available for the drivers that can be used in the combination with the Windows 7 and Acer aspire. You can use a limited features in the Windows 7 by using the "Microsoft Update Catalog" on the website.just go to the website and select the update option ans download the driver it will solve your problem of the drivers in Windows 7 to certain extent.

I have gone to the Microsoft website and try to download the driver but there was some problem in the download link. It starts the download and after 30 minutes it says that the download is incomplete due to some network problem. I tried this for more than 10 times but got the same message each time, please provide some other way to download the package or to update the same driver from the website.

If you are not able to download the driver or update the driver from the Microsoft website then there is no problem there is another way of updating the driver. First insert the previous CD of the driver which you have with you, then start the installation process. After some steps you will get a Update option, then you have to select the option and click on the "Windows Update" button and in few minutes it will update the driver. You will be able to access only few features of the Windows 7 in the Acer Aspire as they have not release the full driver for Windows 7 Professional.
