Mail and IMAP on iPod Touch

I found a tutorial to configure my mail box Orange IMAP on the iPod which allows me to run from the box so without then having to repeat the same manip on the PC. Also I get my files created via the PC and I find it very convenient. So my question is: Is it possible to configure my Hotmail box IMAP on my iPhone, if so is there a tutorial somewhere lying around because I found nothing. Please help

If an account with POP connection , not timing. If an account with IMAP connection , synchronization with the mac but also any other computer ( no need to go through itune ). The only one I know who utilisation IMAP is gmail. There are certainly other. If you use gmail , just enable IMAP in the settings and disable POP to be sure that the mail app touch can connect to via IMAP ( I found no option given the choice, it's automatic then it seems to be that automates the way you want).

    Operation of the POP :
The program downloaded mail from mail server and stores them on the computer. If you read an email , deletes , moves , etc. ... the program does not prevent the server change . ( that's how we end up with hundreds of unread mails when changing program)

    Operation IMAP :
Unlike POP , the program is able to transcribe all your action on the server . So you can use as many different programs , their timing will be perfect
