Adobe had indeed planned to launch a special branch dedicated to mobile Flex - named Slider - but the rise of the hardware of mobile devices has finally pushed the editor of Air 2 and Flash Player 1.10 to incorporate Flex-specific features rather than a fundamental rethink. These new features concern the screen resolution or management of multi-touch touch screens for example. A preview release of Hero should be delivered by Adobe in the second quarter. The official release is scheduled for 2011.

Frankly, I am going very well in Flash Lite, personally. The availability of all the features of Flash 10 mobile is just great. If you do not want to use it is up to you. Meanwhile, for those who follow the movie, Flash has just become the best solution to create an application deployable on any platform. Unless the iPhone, of course .

A similar script action script is lighter than javascript as action script is converted into byte code, and gzipped. Same for the svg the fact that it is easy to read form tag pump more space than a good old vector form in flash. Suddenly what saves your package with HTML5, this is not the power of HTML5, but precisely its lack of editing tools, which we do not use it. But when the tools have arrived, the web HTML5 will be heavier than the web flash .

Flex requires Flash 9, Until now Flash Lite (mobile equivalent of the flash player) does not allow for playback of animation in Flash 9 and above, but it is process of change with version 10.1 that Flash can be deployed on smartphones. So if your smartphone has 10.1 a priori player you can play animations flex.

Adobe is working to enable Flex turn on the mobile and platform support most models. As Flex can be used to develop web applications or desktop / applications , it can be used for mobile terminals . These platforms are becoming increasingly pervasive and powerful , creating Flex applications for these could be revolutionary. In a very short time , Flex enable development of applications Mobile Flash Lite and AIR on mobile.
