Will HP Mini 110-1006tu support 2GB memory

I have purchased an HP Mini 110-1006tu recently and have Windows XP installed in it. I want to know that will HP Mini 110-1006tu support 2GB memory or not.

I am having this query because I have heard most of the the people using this particular notebook that such a feature is available in it. Anyways, I suppose that some of the members here will be having a perfect information about the same.

So, please provide the probable information as soon as possible.

I have searched the internet regarding whether the HP Mini 110-1006tu supports 2GB memory. I got an HP specification table. It was given in that table that this particular notebook supports a maximum of 1 GB only. But, I guess that the motherboard chipset, that is i945GSE+ICH7M must be able to give the support of 2 GB. Well, the only solution is to try the same out.

The HP Mini 110-1006tu supports 2GB memory. It is not been given officially that such amount of memory is supported, dont know why. I am using this same HP Mini 110-1006tu and I simply replaced the 1 GB RAM that I was having with 2 GB RAM. I thought that there will be problems. But, to my surprise the 2 GB RAM was recognized by the HP Mini.

HP Mini 110-1006tu is sure to support 2GB memory. The main reason is that its maximum RAM is given to be 2 GB on one of the sites that I checked out. Another reason is that Tomaz has mentioned in the above post that he has the same notebook and the 2 GB RAM was recognized in his case. So, the technique that you are trying to go about with is assured to work.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions that you guys have provided for the query that HP Mini 110-1006tu supports 2GB memory. I have incremented the memory of my system by 2 GB and everything is running fine. This means that the support is available for the same. I hope that the officials provide this information on their official site also.
