Noise in battery on Thinkpad R61i

I had noticed that there is lots of sound generated in my laptop. I have this laptop and this is more than a year old. Now the thing is that there battery performance is lowered down to an extent. First I use to get continuous hours of work but now it is limited to some hours. When I run my laptop on battery there is sound generated by hard drive and fan. But the same does not comes with I use it on direct power outlet.

The best thing is to replace the battery. You can buy that from the officail site of Lenovo. The other way is to contact the service center of the same ask for the replacement. I had changed my thinkpad battery and now it is working fine.Usually when you battery gets old there is lot of power drained by your system and on the same the battery is not enough strong to provide the same.

It is unnecessary to remove the battery from the computer when not in use and that the PC is plugged in, simply because all current laptops or batteries themselves are equipped with circuits electronic avoid using the battery when it is loaded and the device is plugged. It is also advised to unplug the power cord of a laptop when it is turned off to avoid any unnecessary burden micro-battery.

I understand that. Batteries in general should not remain at full load continuously for wear in this case is very fast which is why it is recommended to never leave a laptop on continuously. It's good, the modern laptop batteries have a slight leakage current, which empty the rest. So it said not to unnecessarily charge your laptop if not needed. Just carry a different battery.

Countless numbers of false ideas circulate on batteries. It's best to take the information on the official site. The most important seems like a cycler of your battery which is not properly set. Logically, the mobile observes the battery and prevents overcharging. Your battery is equipped with a circuit that prevents it from discharging at 2.5 V per cell. So no risk of this side.

I do not withdraw my battery but I use it fairly regularly and I unplug the power cord every time I turn off my laptop more precisely, the cord is plugged into a block with a switch it is practice. Whatever happens it will not last more than 2 see 3 years from date of manufacture. Better a buy a new one. It is much recommended never use a old battery on the laptop.

It is necessary that you must remove the battery when the laptop is on AC. It is for old laptops. It gives some life to the battery in case of fully charged. It is necessary to unload completely and more importantly so that you can save up some more minutes on your laptop. Use certified Li-ion batteries for laptop computers instead of going for any model.
