    Help W500 graphics card question

I Recently purchased a new lenovo laptop w500 Laptop installed with windows 7. It is supposed to have a graphics card nvidia geforce 310M (1GB). When I go to Device Manager-> graphics cards, I see two cards: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD and nvidia. My problem is that when I wanted to play pes 2010 on pc show me an error message (my graphics memory is not sufficient, I do not have a good graphics card). weird no. Anybody have an answer to this W500 and graphic card query.

Normally when there are two graphics card, there is a whole rotten all the time and consumes very little electricity, and there's another one which is rarely used, only when asked perfect graphics are important and it consumes a lot. They do this to increase the autonomy of laptops. After, as I am not rich enough to pay me one like that, I know how it works but I thought it automatically switch on the right graphics card.

It is quite possible to make this operation as long as it is a good graphics card plugged into the motherboard and not an integrated graphics chipset in the motherboard. If the laptop is still under warranty, it is best to apply to save the store of purchase . Otherwise, you can buy a compatible graphics card and open the laptop and then insert. In both cases, You must have attention to the cost to determine if it is not advisable to buy a new laptop.

It is the memory dedicated to your graphics card is insufficient. Via its properties in Device Manager, there are ways to increase it to be spent in one go. It is certainly original 256mb parameterized. There must be somewhere an option to switch from one card to another. This is either a physical button or a keyboard shortcut or a program in the background on which to click.

This is the MXM port is much smaller than that of graphics cards pc office along, but at least he can do it yourself even you even care but it is super even more fragile than normal graphics card. Here I hope to have answered your question. And, to confirm all the laptops you can change the graphics card.

Re: Help W500 graphics card question

If you can be because your graphics card uses a connection type MXM: it is a specific connection that allows you to change the graphics card as on a desktop PC, except you have to find the graphics card with a port for MXM this. The modern graphics cards are now equipped with specialized processors in the calculation of complex 3D graphics scenes!
