    R61i won't wake up

I have a lenovo R61i with Vista (2ghz core 2 duo) 4gb Ram, etc. Now to my problem. When I shut down the machine in sleep mode (blinking red lamp). It takes about 1 minute until it is determined completely still. And when I press the power switch back on so long until he comes to the login screen. Am I doing something wrong there. With my friend, he has a samsung R560 component almost the same as my Lenovo, it takes more than 15 seconds of the shutdown to stand by and when it boot up again it only takes max. 5 seconds. Moreover the R61i won't wake up from the sleep mode.

Do you have many programs installed, or is your hard drive for more than 80% full. Another thing: hibernation and standby are two different things.

    Sleep
The contents of the RAM is saved to disk and then shut down, virtually all over. You can continue after power where one left off, has yet to endure a waiting period (~ 1min). Orange light blinks until the laptop is off.

    Stand-By
The laptop is shutting down, important data stays in RAM. Waking up in 5-15s ready. However, laptop consumes electricity. Orange light blinks forever.

The Stand by with the rest condition and knows me yes. I have the notebook mere 3 weeks and the plate is occupied only 20 Gb including Vista, most of the content of programs) is of course already been on from lenovo. And as I said, I have seen with my friends really like the very fast laptop from sleep mode is restarted, even my old HP laptop with Win XP is faster, so I'm already that you have to adjust something. What is funny is when I shut off at about 15 seconds off. He was right from the beginning where I had no install a Program so slowly and that with 4GB Ram

According to my knowledge Save energy (Vista) = Standby mode (XP)
Select "Hybrid Sleep mode" in the advanced settings of the active power plan (see "Saving Energy") must be disabled, the then appear both "energy saving" and "sleep" in the Start menu. When hybrid standby mode is (according to Microsoft) is a cross between standby and hibernation: To Data Loss to avoid power failure, in addition, the RAM disk written on before the computer into standby mode goes. The more GB you has, the longer it takes! "Power Save" -> "Allow hybrid standby mode Yes / No

There is a known problem with Windows 7 waking up from sleep mode when large disks (> 500GB are installed). I know not whether this is already fixed, but it might affect you. Because of this problem, I turn my computer again and again down completely. Then it works. Previously, I had the same problem as you .
