TomTom 520 safety camera alerts not working

I have been using the TomTom 520 but from last few days i have noticed that the safety camera alerts not working. This is realy screwing my nuts because i do not want to violate any sort of traffic rules and pay heavy fines even though i am using such a device. anybody has faced this problem can surely help me to get rid of this problem.

First of all i think you should try to ensure that the speed cameras are activated in show points of interest on map. After activating the speed cameras. Move to manage the points of interest you will get this in the preferences. After this select Warn When Near POI. Now you will be able to see as well as hear the warnings of the POI. If this does not helps you any more I would suggest you to update the device operating system of the device.

The problem is that it has become a little outdated. The latest version of maps is the V 7.10, which I downloaded from emule occupying more or less about 1.3 GB compressed. The problem is not how to install it. I tried to copy directly into the tomtom folder but then tells me that there are no maps. Thank goodness that it performs a backup!. Would you please tell me how to install these maps, Or what should I install? where I download them if I have are not worth me. Thank you very much but I am a bit desperate, because the last thing I want is to "checkout" with tom tom.

Sounds like that some of the files on your system may have been corrupted and hence you are not able to see and hear the warning from the POI. So it would be better to get rid of the OS of your tomtom device this will help you to get rid of this problem. Install a new OS. Hope that this will help you . But always try to take a backup of all your data before you do this.

A map is tomtom is never updated (for other GPS either). In fact he built at least one round point per week in France alone and I do not feel prohibited new. Open My Computer, then open the drive for your TomTom. Your map is found in a folder called France Map, Map or Western, or Major Roads of Europe Map, or Western Europe Map. Record the larger! And be careful if you connect to TomTom Home, especially not stupidly disconnect the cable or you buy the card.
