I have a 50" TV Plasma that's merely 2.5 years old. This morning I twisted it on and heard a deafening pop. And it twisted off. I tried a couple additional times with the similar result. The LG merely presents a 1 year manufacturer assurance. So I am out of providence. They paid thousands for this TV and it did not even most recent 3 years. Had it competently installed and the whole thing. By no means again determine to purchase an LG product.

My 50" LG went pop and there goes the video. Regrettably, excavation was out of assurance by 1 1/2 years so LG says I am out of coincidence. I tried everything from being pleasant to pleading with them, and having too. But they said no. I am disappointed with LG by the information in sequence that they knew this was a known difficulty but they did not step up to attach it. I in addition filed complaint with BBB and seeing if anybody is doing class action lawsuit. Seems preposterous that I spent close to $4,000 to purchase this and merely lasted 3 1/2 years. That's additional than $1,000 for TV per annum. Unnecessary to say, I determine to not be purchasing an LG replacement, nor determine to I suggest their product.

Your LG 50" plasma TV screen went black subsequent to a popping sound but tranquil had sound, subsequent to enormous deliberations decided to obtain the back off and encompass a peek. You have to unplugged the TV and tested the fuses (there were three you might observe) one had blown, the one on the left as you look at the back of the TV it in addition has one on top of it. They wrote the code/serial number down and took the fuse to the electrical wholesalers Maplin and purchased a pack of 10 fuses for £1.29 replaced the fuse in the TV and the whole thing at present extremely well. Anticipate this might be of utilize to anybody whose lost the picture subsequent to a loud popping/snacking sound but tranquil has sound.

This is a very common problem in plasmas I recently just picked up one of these lg units I was getting sound but no picture and I opened it up and noticed on ysus board it had a blown fuse I replaced it and everytime I turned it on it would shut right off. Then i unplugged the power connector to the ysus and the tv still wouldnt work but would stay on. This is a protection so you don't fry the other components I changed the ysus board out and no problems now. Sometimes these boards are hard to find on eBay.com or shopjimmy.com I ended getting it on a site called cradeal.com took a little longer but it was under $100. Hope this helps.

Always unplug your tv when working on it also capacitors will hold a charge for a little while so give it some times. Good luck
