Nokia E71 maps crash after update to 3.04

Recently, I have upgrade to the newest version of Ovi all maps - v3.04. But thing is that when I opening the Maps application, phone will collapse and restart itself. Nokia could not have the crash dump analysis? Now I'm back to my Ovi map, map v3.03 E71 version of my equipment is the original version of the reduction, so I guess version 3.03 is not compatible with my device, so you want to roll back the direction of development should also be.

As far as I know Nokia have not released a version of Maps 3.04 that it perfectly compatible with the Nokia E71 and the other FP1 phones. I just want to know that from where you have got that copy. Even if you have got the copy from any resource what made you to decide to load the 3.04 version on your Nokia E72

I was also facing the similar problem with my E55. I have done the update that was not compatible with my phone. Hence for solving this I have followed these steps may be this will help you to solve your problem. After you have installed the update you just need to go to Menu and then go to Control Panel after that go to settings and then to general and after that to positioning methods that is in the positioning. After reaching there you need to turn off the WiFi.

I am having the similar problem, actually my maps was working fine till today, the mistake that I have done is that I have opened the search box and then phone crashes and then reboot itself. I tried to remove the software and then reinstall it again, but I am facing the same problem again. Can anybody help me to sort out this problem?

Here is what I have done to solve the problem while I was facing the problem. Install the beta version for the software and after that it starts automatically. After starting it just crashes within a span of three seconds. Now for solving the issue you need to do the following. Restart the phone and do not start Ovi Maps. In place of that go to the application and then to the location and then positioning and then positioning methods after that you need to unmark Wi-Fi.

I used to have this problem in the version 3.03 when I try to login in the Nokia Account, then I not able to remember that. On top of that I forget how to disable the auto login, but I ting that solved that crashing problem. I am not sure that you are facing the similar problem but if you are getting the same problem then you can use this method for solving problem.

I got the solution for this problem; actually the thing is that Ovi Maps is not compatible with the SlideIT keyboard. At the time you set the Dasur keyboard as default, then the map crashes at the time of opening the search box hence activating the SlideIT keyboard. Just disable that and you will get your application working as it was working before.
