6720 Classic not charging via USB

Hi all,

I have some issues and Unable to solve it and the issue is related to the charging of my device. I have a phone (Nokia 6720) and unable to charge that phone using the USB post, As I have connected this with my systems and through the USB cable . Where as I have installed the proper suit for this and when I need to connect with the PC suite,I can access my phone from the PC suit window and everything is well going . But it will not charge. Somebody here have any suggestion regarding this issue, so please suggest me the proper solution for this issue

I didn't see like this before about the charging mechanism and some other phone follow this procedure but I don't think you can do the same charging mechanism procedure with the 6720 through the USB port.You need to use some other cables . Actually, you can access the contents of the phone using USB cables but you can not charge with the same port. Yeah, It is only chargeable using the charging port. For this procedure ,You have to use a cable named as CA-126 through which you can move for charging.

You are right, charging always require to work with the charging port and also USB cable should be associated with that . This is very strange that the accessories page for the 6720 only contains the list of chargers which can be able to connect into the charging port. you should go for the link given below.

There maybe somebody with a 6720 can make sure this. I would just check that the phone spec stated here and it only says that "2mm charger connector". It commonly says "usb charging" in case USB charging is truly possible in this case .

Hi all,

I had seen somewhere with the same configuration and need to do same thing. That is good suggested over this post but I really don't remember where but I have seen the same scenario somewhere , the 6720 charged when connected through the USB. When I plugged that through the PC Suite 7 that has a charging display on screen and displayed that it was charging but the phones display did not doing as, You all have any idea about this which one was absolute?

When connecting 6720 Classic through the USB cable with the Accer laptop of my brother, The USB ports tagged on the laptop seize to work and Windows showing a message about the malfunctioning of USB device . Commonly, the computer is permanently stucked and only method to to be continue is to reset the laptop on power button and disconnect the laptop charger from the power connection and leave all of the thing for rebooting with the help of battery. Hard-disk controller is permanently highlighting with a green indicator but hard-disk is not going to be spin. When it moves on in the way, the Nokia phone does not prompt for USB usage and also hanging in application processing for a while. I wanted to be able to set the phone not to charge through the USB, but unable to get the proper way to do it . I consider that the charging through the USB is making a low level hardware driver and power surge issue within my laptop. The issue is not continuously going on but occurs time to time. When plugging the normal 230 VAC charger with the Nokia device, So the Nokia device is charging when plugged in with the laptop through the USB without any issue . In this case, the Nokia device will not try to charge from USB connection.

Do you all have any way to disable the charging over USB on the Nokia 6720 Classic device??
