How to capture Sky HD?

I am planning to get a Sky HD installed and I was thinking that is there any way to capture this to my MacBook Pro. I have discussed this topic with my friends they replied that I can use EyeTV for that purpose but they are not sure for that. Is there any better way for doing this, I mean without physically opening the skybox? In short I want to know how to capture Sky HD.

As far as I know you will not be able record the Sky HD through EyeTV until you do some alteration that will make the high definition video to a standard definition in that place. If you need to capture the HD then you require to get a capture card for Mac OS X. According to me this is sloppy and expensive method to this.

I will suggest you to use any of the card from BlackMagic that will allow you to record and playback most of the unbelievable quality of the HDMI. This will not only provide the high quality video but it is also affordable. There are two models from which you can choose anyone to fulfill you requirement.

Currently I am having HD but I am not worried about getting the HD quality video on my MacBook Pro. I am satisfied with the downgraded SD quality. The thing I am interested in knowing that is there any way to record the picture in HD quality without paying for anything. If there is anyway then please let me know

You just need to do follow these steps for recording program on the Sky Box. First connect the eye TV device to the sky box and then you can play the recorded program and then it will start recording on your Mac OS X. The only drawback for this is that it will play back in real time, then once you got this on Mac you can edit the video.
