Nokia 7610 problem "invalid version or authorization failed"

I own a nokia 7610 i download a ton of games for it but when i install them it shows invalid version or authorization failed ...but when i send them other's fone them seem to work perfectly fine...whats the cause of this..??maybe its that my phone 's software are out-of-date ...how can i update it??(its not on the online nokia updateable phone list)

Is it a New phone or old ? If its new than first open App. Mgr (Application Manager) on your phone, settings, select Software installation - All, Online certificate check - Off. Now try to install the application or games.

And if it is old phone, than install Nokia PC suite, connect your mobile phone via cable and click the update software icon on nokia PC Suite. Now follow the instruction. Thats it

its old and nokia pc suite doesn't update it....

It might be a problem due to that the MIDlet is using APi's that are not supported by the phone. [Even though class files are bundled with .JAR; these class files might be accessing unsupported APi's]. Also might be due to some problem while Signing. It is not necessary that the app needs to be signed. But Signing will makes the app trusted and remove the permission messages.

Do you use a code signing certificate from a CA?

well i dont get what are you saying but every time i install any app/game it says " from unauthorized ____ only install if from trusted ____"

Well, generally if you are installing any third party applications or games from some different developers then it will give you same message (from unauthorized ____ only install if from trusted ____). Usually these are untrusted software and therefore if anything wrong happens to your mobile phone then nobody should be blamed. In any case, I usually install games/software although i get the same message and sometime, some games work and some games doesnt work, so I just uninstall them.
