How to update firmware of Nokia N900?

Hello Friends , I have bought a Nokia N900 mobile phone which is running with the Firmware version of the v2.2009.51.1. I have recently heard that the new firmware update of the Nokia N900 has been released that is V3.2010.02-08. So need to update my phone with the same. So can any one tell me How to update firmware of Nokia N900?. Thanks in advance

To download the update of the firmware of the Nokia N900 you have to just go to the Home screen and the press *#0000# to check the current version of your phone and then go to the Application manager of your device and click on update this will guide you for the firmware update. But make sure that your device having the internet connectivity otherwise you will not be able to update the same. After update just check the version of the phone again with the *#0000#

When you will connect your phone to the computer and start the Nokia Software Updater then the updater will automatically detect for the available update and prompt you for the download of the same. Hey you didn't specified the detail about the operating system that you are using but if you are using the Mac Operating System then i can help you with the method to achieve the update of Firmware of Nokia N900. So just go through the steps.

1. Install the 770Flasher tool
2. Now Download N900 firmware image
3. Switch off N900
4. Connect the device to computer
5. Start 770Flasher application
6. Drag the firmware to 770Flasher application
7. Switch on Nokia N900
8. Update start automatically

Just download the latest firmware of the Nokia N900 from the tablets-dev.nokia.com with the help of the Maemo Flasher and after the download finished then start the Nokia Software updater and then the updater will automatically detect the same from your computer and install it on your device.
