Ringing noise from 30 inch apple cinema

I am using an Apple 30 Inch cinema display for watching the movies and the plastic cover has been teared of one of the connector cable but it is working fine. The problem arrives when i connect it with the power supply box as it starts giving some humming sound. My monitor is still under the warranty period but it would be better if anybody can give me some solution for fixing this on my own.

There might be something wrong with the power supply which you are using to connect your apple device. Actually if there would not be anything like earthing from the power supply the it might happen that your device makes sound of an electricity supply which might even pass a current through the device. I think you should use some other power supply for doing the same purpose and check whether it gives the same sound or not.

I guess it should be giving a buzzing sound because of the cable which you are using. Actually as you said that the covering of your cable has been removed so it might be happening because of that. I suggest you to use some other cable with your devices and check for the same problem. If there would be still weird sound coming then at least you would be knowing that there is nothing wrong with the cable or its teared cover. You may use some temporary cable to check this issue.

I have seen couple of users on different forum who were facing the same problem and i have found that this sound comes from an adapter which you use with your apple tv. And even it comes only when you turn off the monitor and an adapter still gets the power.
I think there would be something wrong with the adapter itself and not with the monitor. I do not have any exact idea but i think you should give check to your adapter.

As your monitor is still under warranty then i recommend you to directly contact with an apple as they must be knowing about this issue because there are many number people who are facing this annoying noise. You should contact apple as soon as possible as if there would anything wrong with an adapter then it might happen in future, it damages your monitor as well.

I have found the reason from where the humming sound comes, Actually the FireWire plug is responsible for it. And you would happy to know that i hav found a solution for this problem. If the monitor is off and the Firewire head of the Hydra cable is plugged into your Mac, the brick will buzz or hum and when you turn on the monitor then the sound goes off. You just need to unplug the FirwWire head and leave the monitor off.

I found it normal as these kind of sound comes when you have put the volume on very much high, Actually it depends on your sound settings and speakers. These kind of sound loudens when you use any amplifier as it forces speakers to generate the louder sound. This sound washes away when you play a video but it would noticeable when you watch a blank screen.
