Uninstalling Fan Control 1.2 on Mackbook Pro

I have a Macbook Prob 2.2 ghz system. The problem is with the Fan Control 1.2 application that I have downloaded i order to maintain the speed of the system fan for cooling and to prevent the system to get heated. Then I thought of making the use of Apple default settings and removing the application. I tried to remove in simpler ways but it is not getting uninstalled. The system is been loaded with Leopard 10.5.1. Help.

You need to remove the following files and folders
Navigate the through /Library/StartupItems/FanControlDaemon
/Library/PreferencePanes/Fan Control.prefPane
Then you will be prompted for the Administrator's password when deleting these items.
Now reboot
