Using iphone sim card in another phone

I am going to sell my iphone and will buy the new one. so I’m leaving to put my sim in an old vodafone mobile. So I have a question that can I use Iphone Sim to any other mobile. Because I don’t want to change my number at all, it is horrible to me. Any idea. Please suggest.

You have an agreement so present would be no need to carry your old SIM or phone in. They have your particulars. All that be supposed to take place is that you're details, number etc, will be transfer to your new SIM in your new phone. Your old SIM will then finish functioning. Now, as to whether an iPhone SIM will work in a different phone, I don't know. I uncertainty it's a generic SIM card, but I would try previous to you sell.

No. A SIM activated in a non-iPhone will not effort in an any phone. The iPhone have to be used with the fixed SIM card that was activated in it originally (or the activated SIM from and the same model iPhone), although that SIM can be enthused to another SIM-based phone if essential. Don’t do this.

It shouldn't be a problem, but call Vodafone tech support and just inquire them. GSM phones are compatible. I had an HTC 8525 and it broke, so I bought a cheap GO phone and popped in my SIM. And it worked with me but in your case it is iphone ,so check with customer support.

In certain countries phone have to be unlocked if the consumer needs so in agreement with the law. Calls and SMS perhaps ended through an Iphone by a SIM Card from a non-iPhone under two different situations:
(1) If equally SIM Cards are as of the same carrier (cellular service provider) and
(2) If SIM Cards are from dissimilar carriers but the phone set is unlocked. There perhaps also the choice of full custom with a different SIM card, as long as the new inserted card fit in to a plan from the carrier with full internet and data transfer access.

I know that it wills effort in other phones, because during my activation ordeal, my SIM card be activated, but the iPhone was at rest not. I was told via an AT&T rep that I didn't need the phone associated to iTunes to found it up after I finished the first phase and iTunes told me to stay for an e-mail. This was not true, but I gone the area that I could be on the internet and my phone stays a brick. I called back and finally got someone that could help me and let me recognize concerning how I required to be linked to iTunes to activate, and that I could use my old phone with my new SIM if needed.

Yes. Once activated the iPhone's SIM card will exertion in other phones, but attempt to add another phone sim card into the iPhone and it will not work. The iPhone is put to work only with the SIM card it was activated with. If you swap it with one more SIM card the iPhone will consider it’s a new sim and try to activate it again. And since it’s already activated it will not work.
