Is iPad compatible with Mac OS X Tiger?

Hello people, I am planning on buying the new Apple iPad 16gb with 3G and need your suggestions regarding it. I currently have a Mac Power PC G5 which is installed with Mac OS X Tiger on it. I was wondering if the new iPad will be compatible with version of the operating system which I am using. So has anybody used iPad with Tiger installed on the computer? Please share your views and experience about this topic. Any help is highly appreciated.

You can check the technical specifications and system requirements for the iPad on the official website of Apple. Go the official website of Apple and click on the Ipad section. In the iPad section, select the "Tech Specs" option and check all the features and the system requirement for the iPad. Hope the post helps.

According to me the iPad does not support the operating system which you are using. iPad supports the operating system which are later to Tiger operating system. I was facing the same problem with my computer which was installed with Mac OS X 10.4 on it. The iPad was not getting detected on the computer. I got the PC upgraded to solve the problem. Hence I will suggest that you check the system requirements before buying an iPad.

Thanks for sharing such an useful information about the issue. I checked the technical specifications and minimum system requirements for the iPad and now I think I will have to get the computer updated inorder to use iPad on the computer as the iPad does not support the operating system on my computer. Please share any suggestions about the new computer as it will help me in deciding properly.
