    Screen issues with windows 7

    Hi friends,

I have Dell XPS M1530 and I am using it from one year. I didn't get any serious issue with this dell laptop. I recently installed windows 7 OS over this laptop, previously I had windows XP on it. But after installation of the windows 7, I am getting some screen issue with this laptop. The laptop screen get distorted with black line. I am not getting the exact cause behind this screen issue. Please help me to resolve this dell laptop issue.

As per your query it seems that you have not installed the display driver. And only because of that you are getting problem for your laptop screen. According to me you need to download the display driver of your dell laptop compatible with windows 7 operating system. Then install it on your laptop. Hopefully it will resolve your laptop screen problem.

Have you dropped your dell laptop on the floor? I am asking this question because before few days my laptop got dropped and showing this distorted screen issue. I think same might happened with your laptop also. I suggest you to visit the nearest service center of your dell laptop. I think this is the ultimate solution over this issue.

I think you need to do following things:
    1. Check the display setting of your laptop.
    2. Install the display driver as per your laptop OS.
    3. If above doesn't helpful, then take help from laptop hardware expert.

It seems that there may be some problem in your operating system. It is possible that you haven't properly installed the operating system on your laptop. So I recommend you to try the reinstallation of windows 7 operating system. And then install the display drivers. Please try solution and let me know if you still get same problem or not.

It sounds that your laptop might suffered from any serious hardware issue. If you have tried all of the above solution and there is no difference in the problem. The I suggest you to replace this faulty laptop. If it is under warranty then make replacement of this laptop. Other than than this I don't know any solution over this issue.
