Changing message alert tone in chinese mobiles

Please let me know if the sms alert tones in chinese mobiles can be changed. I have chinese Nokia 5800, which has only about 10 built in tones which do not appear to be changeable. Phone ring tones can be changed but not sms alert tones.

I have never used any or seen china phones as per m knowledge about mobile phones, don't you have the option to change the SMS ringtones. It is mostly present in the Tones or Settings menu. You must be provided with some alert tones under there menu list and a way to chose your own ringtones.

Thanks for the reply.
What I meant was that there is no apparent way of using a different alert tone other than the 10 provided in the phone. All of them are long midi tones and I would like to have a short tone for messages.
