BACKFLIP: slide to answer not working when screen in portrait mode

I am using the Motorola Backflip from last two months but never had any problem regarding it. From last few days my i am facing bit problem when my phone goes to sleep mode. Actually when any call comes when my phone is in sleep mode then there is one arrow which should be slide to the right in order to answer the call. But it is not working even if i have slide it to right. Please note that this problem arrives only in Portrait mode as there is no such problem in landscape mode.

I think there is nothing wrong with your phone as this seems to be small problem which could not be explained but can be solved by rebooting your phone. First of all switch off your phone and then take out the battery and then put it back and start your phone. Now check that is it happening again, If so then there could be some other problem regarding the locking system of your phone.

I have the same problem on my Motorola Backflip as it does not support for the slide to answer function neither in landscape mode nor in portrait mode. And i have seen that this two methods for unlocking the phone is much annoying as you have to push the lock button then by whatever you open a lock. I was having password to unlock my phone which also has been disabled and this problem was gone but just for few days then it again started happening the same.

I have seen this problem with the Motorola Backflip on may forums and have found that if your Backflip goes to sleep then you have to push the power key to wake up your phone and then you may configure the settings for adding either the screen lock or the security lock. You can set the timer for the security lock and you better set to the longer time so that you do not have to unlock it again and again.

This has been seen on many Motorola Backflip but i just can not say that it happen on all the models of Backflip. Actually this should not be regarding the touch sensor of you phone as it works without any problem after opening a lock. I think you have to first wake up your phone then only you can answer the phone. Or there could be some kind of settings as well which makes your phone uncrackable in portrait or landscape mode.

I think you should use the warranty of your phone as you have just bought this phone before few months. Actually there could be something wrong with the piece of phone itself which have unluckily bought by you.
Suppose if there would be any problems then you will be getting a whole new phone and i guess would be happier to take it.
