Connecting a DVD player with Satellite Dish

I have a 52 inch Toshiba HDTV that is already connected to a DISH network satellite. I would like to connect a DVD player and have no idea how to connect. I may also need help with figuring out which remote I use. Currently I have to use the TV remote that just turns on the TV and the DISH remote for volume and changing of channels.

I dont think so that the DVD players can be connected to the Satellite Dish. But if your DVD player is advanced and it has this connectivity feature then i think for connecting the DVD player with Satellite Dish you should read the user manual guide of the DVD player that you are having. It will be better for us if you will provide the model number of the DVD player and the Satellite Dish you are using. After that we will be able to provide the solution.

Normally most of the people do not connect a DVD player to Dish network or to any other satellite TV receiver box. It will only make sense if your DVD player is also working as a DVD recorder. There is only one advantage that avoiding the switch the TV to its video channel for playing DVD. If you are not having the DVD recorder then you will not be able to connect the DVD to dish and finally you will use the Dish remote for recording in the DVD.
