N900 been restarting lots now will not boot up at all

Hello there, I have recently bought a Nokia N900 which worked fine for few days but now the phone has started to give many problems. The phone restarts continuously due to which I am not able to use the phone. So if anybody knows why my N900 been restarting lots and wont boot up at all then please share some information about the same. Thanks in advance.

Check if there is any application installed on the phone which is creating such problems in the phone. Some applications have corrupt files. If such an application is installed on the phone then there is high possibility that the phone will not work properly. So if there are any applications installed on the phone, try and remove them and then check the performance of the phone.

As the phone is new, I will suggest you to take the phone to the nearest Nokia service center and get it checked. All the Nokia products are covered with 1 year warranty under which any fault caused to the phone will be serviced for free if the phone has not sustained a physical damage. Take the phone to the nearest nokia care center and get it checked. If the phone is faulty, then it will be replaced for free.

Try flashing the phone memory and then see if the phone is working properly or not. Sometimes the operating system of the phone gets stuck in a loop while executing some application. If such a situation occurs then the phone will not work properly. To solve such a problem, you will have to flash the phone memory. Before flashing the phone memory, try to restore to factory settings and then see if it works. To restore the phone to factory settings type "#7780#". If it does not help then flash the phone memory by typing "#7370#". Hopefully the phone will work properly after flashing the phone memory or after restoring the factory settings.

You will have to repair the device using the flasher tool which is available on the official website of Nokia. The name of the flasher tool is Maemo Flasher. Download the tool and install it on the computer. After installing the flasher tool, follow the steps below to solve the problem :-

• Switch off the phone
• Remove the battery and replace it back.
• Press and hold "U" button on the keyboard
• Connect the phone using USB cable.
• Now a little USB icon will appear on the phone screen.
• Release the 'u' button when the icon appears.
• Start the flasher tool in R&D mode (the application will run for some moments)
• Once the application terminates, unplug the phone.
• The phone will reboot.

Now repeat all the steps from above and while starting the flasher tool, just disable the R&D mode. Once the tool fixes the problem, the phone will reboot. After rebooting, check if the problem persists or not.

Thanks for replying to the post really fast. As suggested I downloaded the Maemo flash utility and installed it on the computer. I followed all the steps which were suggested and it really solved the problem. Now the phone does not restarts while working. There was some problem while running the flash utility but running the program twice solved the issue. Really appreciate the help provided.

I had a same problem with my n900,recent i had uninstalling kernel power from app manager and after switch off i can't reboot ,restart continuously ,i can't read in pc if is not stable, i saw in last post that resolved the problem but i don't understand one thing in first pass with switch the phone, i can't switch the phone because just restarting unlimited, i can just remove the battery that phone to switch off but in my mind i think if flashing it will not works if i cant't switch of ,help me if you know something about it ,and sorry for my english,i'm from Romania,
