Getting error when uninstalling s60_2nd_fp3_midp_sdk

I have installed s60_2nd_fp3_midp_sdk last week. Since then I found a lot of problems in my computer and so I thought of removing it but if I try to uninstall it, I get the error message saying "invocation of this java application has caused a invocation target exception". I am on Windows XP computer. Is this related to OVI suite that I have recently installed on my computer or something else?

I think the 2 package is getting conflicted and so you got that the message. I mean may be the s60_2nd_fp3_midp_sdk that you are trying to uninstall may be using Nokia OVI suite and if that application is running on your background and if you try to uninstall it then may be there is some conflict in between both of them and at the end the result is the exception. If you really want to uninstall it then close the OVI suite and then try to uninstall it.

I think that is related to your .Net Framework. Did you recently updated your computer using Windows Automatic Updates and if yes did it installed something major like .Net Framework related updates? If that's the case then that might not have been installed properly and so Windows is unable to uninstall the s60_2nd_fp3_midp_sdk. Remove that updates from Add/Remove Programs and then try to uninstall the s60_2nd_fp3_midp_sdk from Add/Remove Programs.

This is certainly a JAVA related error. It is almost impossible to figure out where the actual problem had occur. You can't predict if that was the problem of s60_2nd_fp3_midp_sdk or something else and so I would recommend you to retry the same procedure of uninstallation as you might had done previously. I hope this time it would not appear.
