You have the Toshiba Satellite A55 laptop which is loaded with the Windows XP operating system. This laptop is asking for entering the password even though you have not set the password for the laptop. May be any other person in your family has set the password in the laptop. So first consult it with your family members before taking this issue as the problem and revert back over here.

You are saying that the laptop is asking for the password even you have not set it. So first of all try to start the Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063 laptop in the Windows safe mode and see that it starts or not. If the password is asked then definitely the password is set. If starts then this is some problem with the operating system in the normal windows mode.

If the Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063 laptop is starting properly in the Windows safe mode without asking for entering the password then i will advise you to restore the system setting of the laptop back on the date when the laptop was working properly without asking for entering the password for start the laptop. So try this out may be this can fix the issue of the Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063 laptop.

You have only mentioned that the Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063 laptop is asking for entering the password to start. But i want to know that the laptop is asking for entering the BIOS password or it is asking for the Windows operating systems password. If you are getting the password entering screen before the windows startup screen then it will be for the BIOS password.

IF the Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063 laptop is asking for the windows operating system even though you have not set it then there is only one way to resolve this issue. You will have to reinstall the operating system. If it is asking for the BIOS password of the laptop then take the laptop to the Toshiba service center for resolving this issue. Only they can resolve this issue.
