Installing the Homebrew Channel that will play DVD. The steps are follows:
# First put in your SD card into your reader and duplicate the “private” directory of the Twilight Hack onto it. as well copy the Homebrew Channel “boot.dol” file.
# Place in the SD card into your Wii and delete your Zelda save file in the Wii File Manager. If you care in relation to your saved game, you can first duplicate it to your SD card and copy it back after you’ve installed HBC.
# Before place in Zelda into your Wii, flip it over and take note of the text on the inner ring. You need to make sure you apply the correct slash
# Toggle to SD view in your Wii File Manager and copy over your right version of the slash.
# Insert your Zelda game disc and start the game. Enjoy.

The MPlayer software is currently pretty pram. DVD menus are attractive hit or miss and not every movie I tried even plays. With any luck they update the MPlayer software at some point, but I think it was more a proof of idea. There’s always a sure amount of risk with installing illicit, third party software. In any case, the Homebrew Channel is a in fact cool piece of work and will certainly exhale new life into your abandoned little Wii. You you can also try this and enjoy the game.![]()
You need to create a directory on your SD card and name it “apps” and copy the dvdx and mplayer directories into the “apps” folder. After that eject your SD card and insert it back into your Wii. Turn your console on and start the Homebrew Channel. Go reverse to the Homebrew Channel, put in a DVD movie of your decide into your Wii and start the MPlayer app. To play the movie, select “DVD-Video” from the MPlayer menu, and then “Play DVD”. Check it out and reply.
